Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-04-18

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Royale application (the “Application”), a private security and visitor-management tool provided to residents and security personnel of a single residential neighbourhood (the “Community”). By using the Application, you agree to these Terms.

1. Private service

The Application is intended solely for the Community’s authorised residents and security personnel. It is not a public service. You may not use the Application unless the Community administrator has provisioned an account for you.

2. Accounts

  • Accounts are created only by the Community administrator. There is no self-registration.
  • You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential. Do not share your credentials with anyone, including other household members, who have not themselves been provisioned an account.
  • Notify the Community administrator promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorisation.
  • The Community administrator may suspend or deactivate an account at its discretion, including where a user no longer lives in, is no longer employed by, or is no longer authorised to access the Community.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Create passes or vehicle entries that you know, or should reasonably know, are fraudulent or not in good faith.
  • Use the Application to harass, stalk, impersonate, or threaten any person.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Application, its backend systems, or any other user’s account.
  • Copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the Application, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Trigger the emergency-assist feature in circumstances that do not reasonably require a response from security personnel.
  • Capture, store, or share photographs or personal information taken through the Application for any purpose other than legitimate Community security operations.

4. Content and records

When you submit information through the Application — including visitor names, reasons, plate numbers, photos taken at the gate, or emergency alerts — you grant the Community and its authorised personnel a non-exclusive, internal-use licence to process, store, and display that information for the purposes of operating the Application, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that the information you submit is accurate and that you have the authority to submit it.

5. Termination

The Community administrator may suspend or terminate your access to the Application at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including any breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Application at any time by signing out or requesting account removal as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer

The Application is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Community and its operators make no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, and specifically disclaim any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Application is a convenience tool; it is not a replacement for physical security or for emergency services such as the police, fire, or ambulance. In a life-threatening emergency, dial the appropriate local emergency number immediately.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Community and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Application.

8. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Community is located, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Application shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

10. Contact
